So much to do… July 2, 2008

So a lot’s been going on lately in the world of video gaming (at least at my house). Here’s a quick run down:
- I played and beat Metal Gear Solid 4 on the Playstation 3. It’s pretty much amazing. I wouldn’t recommend it for younger kids. It’s not terribly violent, but has some wierd/slightly disturbing innuendo in it. I didn’t see the worst of it on my play-through, but read about it on a blog and saw a video of it. Let me tell you it’s odd…
- I got accepted into the beta test of a mmorpg (action-rpg) called Mythos. I’ve tinkered around with it for a few hours and it is pretty good fun! It’s very similar to Diablo – OK it’s exactly like Diablo with more players and 3-d graphics. It might be a game to watch if you’re a rpg fan. The real kicker is that it’s going to be free to download and play!
- Speaking of Diablo… a little game called Diablo 3 was officially announced this weekend. Diablo (1, 2 and now 3) is a set of very dark fantasy role-playing-games in which you set out to kill thousands upon thousands of evil monsters. This was a long-awaited announcement to say the least… This is a dark and violent series that mom wouldn’t allow you to play, but kids nonetheless play it.
- Not a game, but cool anyway: I got a new phone, the LG Dare in all it’s iPhoniness is pretty cool and now I can update the site on my mobile (if I ever have to). I can keep up with those crazy kids and their newfangled txt messaging ways too now that my phone has a full keyboard:)
And that’s all the news for now… I will be away at camp for many moons this summer, but will surely attempt to blog when I can.
